Nearshore vs offshore: what actually differs

Offshore engagement through India or LatAm is cheaper on paper in some categories. The tradeoffs are worth naming directly.

Timezone. A team in Bangalore is 5.5 hours ahead of Western Europe and 10.5 hours ahead of New York. That’s an async-only relationship for most work. Eastern Europe gives you a synchronous working day with Europe and a usable window with the US East Coast.
